well i'm sure you guys can figure it out from the topic title, but i'll explain here anyway. i'm lookin to get some new rims (i'm not a huge fan of the stock 13's). i've looked around but i can't find the bolt pattern for 1st gen RX-7's and i'm not sure what sizes will fit. i was thinking maybe 16" X 7" but i'm not set on anything. thanks in advance.

Finding wheels for the 1st gens(non-SE) is pretty hard. The only companies that make anything in other than 13" is ROH and Kosei. Both make 15x7's. Problem is that last time I heard, the company(Group A wheels) that was importing the ROH Snypers aren't getting anymore. Kosei makes the K1, but it has been on back order for ever. If you switch your suspension to an SE suspension, it will be alot easier to find wheels. The SE bolt pattern is a more common pattern(4x4.5 I think) as compared to 4x110 on the other 7's.

i believe jdwheels.com still has the roh wheels that fit the 4x110 bolt pattern. also you can do a search for panasports wheels or keizer wheels, they should have some since they provide wheels for autoX.

I forgot about JD Wheels. I think that they and Group A wheels must use the same distributor or are the same company. Seems that they have similar stocks and I think they advertise each other on their sites. I dealt with Group A when I bought my Snypers a few years ago. Excellent service. I also forgot all about Panasports I'm not sure on the sizes though. I've seen them in 13"s. I've never heard of Keizer wheels.

Yes switch to SE...

GS/GSL=4X110

GSLSE=4X4.5

I had some 13x7.5 and 13x8 old school Volk Racing rims on my 1st Gen. It looked crazy cuz the back was all wide. I'm a big fan of old school Japanese wheels BTW.

Another option if you don't want to swap the SE stuff in is to find some 16's drilled for the earlier 4 bolt mustang.They will fit if you start the lugs by hand.They use a 4x108 pattern which is very close to the 4x110 your car has.I was going to do that if I was building up my 83 more.Now that I have the SE brakes on my GT-X I already bought wheels for it.Sorrow: Where the hell have you been?Haven't seen your posts in here for awhile.How the AE?
