480 is very high treadwear for a performance tire. That might mean the tire is a little on the hard side. Just for ha-ha's I'd check out something with a little softer compound. Go to www.tirerack.com and compare this tire to some others.

You can enter your car or the tire size and get reviews from owners. If a lot of people say a certain tire is good, or the things they like about that tire are what you're looking for, then I would go with that.

BTW, tire rack often beats the prices of the local dealers, and even with shipping and installation they still come out cheaper. They'll also give you a list of local shops that will mount and balance the tires. I've done this, and it surprised me, but the local shop didn't seem to mind just getting the mounting and balancing job.

i like to go to discount tire bc if im here or out of town they will take care of the warranty stuff with no problems. i checked reviews on 101tires.com or something like that and there were about 22 pages of nothing but good stuff about these tires. the tread pattern is very similar to that of my vert and those tires are awesome, handle in the rain just like it was dry. and whats better is that these have a much higher tread wear.

lower number means the tire wears faster, usually sticky = wears fast
