the back barrell on my carb r opening but its not spraying any gas into the barrels so can someone please help

have you taken the jets out? i had the same problem on my 80 and i just bought a rebuild kit ($26). it didnt come with new jets, but the ones in there were all gummed and wouldnt let any gas flow through them.
