pretty much what the factory did....

as long as you give it enough fuel, and are careful with the timing, it should run well

I do not know why these types of questions are always asked because they are just wasted effort. The question is NEVER how much boost the question is how well is my car tuned!

yes it will hold 8 psi no intercooler..with an inter cooler you can get 22psi with a good tune...(but the motor will not last long like that) i know ppl runing 15psi with no problems on 12a's

watch for drivetrain shrapnel if your tranny can't handle it!

Im plannin to boost my 12a with a custom intake and exhaust using a Megasquirt ecu. The only thing I wonder is how the N/A rotors will hold up, Ive heard of the tubs collapsing under high boost. Guess I'll find out.

Hey mind if I ask also can you add a blow off with no intercoler having it around 6-8psi like he asked on a N/A Engine 12a?

I was told that the rotors of the Jap 12AT where different than the N/A. Is it true or dose this only apply to 13BT II Engines?

adding a blow off valve, might, might help the turbo live a little longer, it does nothing for power.

the 12a turbo rotors were lower compression than the non turbo. however the non turbo 12a rotors are 9.4 or 9.2:1 compression which isnt far off of the later turbo engines 9.0

Yah I was looking at a scrap rotor from an 82 12A motor I have and they look to be pretty damn strong.
