To all the people running 12a Camden SC's, how have the reliability issues been with them?

I'm thinking of eventually getting a 7" for my 12a. If i remember right, the guy i bought my car from said i had they holley 600cfm carb.....but at worst i have the 465cfm. either way i don't know what the jet size is. Would either of these carb's work with the SC?

Also, what boost are you running? octane? water injection? incercooling? Camden says that 6psi for an 8.5:1 comp. ratio is max at 92 octane. Im not sure off the top of my head wut the 12a compression is n im too lazy right now to look it up.

What are the RPM limitations that the website stresses not too overrev?

I've heard that the super charger saps a lot of power itself, but it is effective b/c the boost creates more power than is used, does this still apply to the upper RPM spectrum or is there really a point that power from the SC'd engine is less than that of the NA?

The biggest problem that I had was cooling. Every part of my setup was brand new. Dual 10" electric pusher fans, also. My summer temp here in Alabama would steadily be in the 200-210 degree range, with fans running non-stop. I sold the Camden setup and installed a 150 shot of nitrous and I can run as hard as I want to now, for as long as I want to, and the temp rarely even reaches the 180 degree mark. That's with very little fan usage. I don't like having to fill the bottle to keep the added HP punch, but the car is much faster on the NAWS! I changed some things since the Camden, mainly just going with a RB 650 Holley but the car runs really strong now. I would suggest only turbo or NAWS instead of the blower. I know all about the "wanting to be different" bit, that's what I did. I just wish that I would have went turbo before, now it would be compressing and spraying. Hope that helps.

ps....my car will be going up for sale shortly, email me is you want detail (toddb@charter.net) or read a brief break down at cardomain: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/852654

Yep, like I said above, I would suggest going turbo or let it ingest some nitrous, or you could do both.
