I just got a magazine from as local race shop saturday...its called Drag Sport....and it has rotarys in it with Racing Beat cars in side...this is going by racing beats testing...

I had a PP 12A in an R100 years ago. Was flat & frustrating like a 2 stroke off the pipetill 5000 then went insane! Did about 8 mpg too

my friend has a bridgeport 13b in his rx3. it puts down 230rwhp@9500rpm (thats where the dyno stops), it isn't loud, its gets 23mpg (if you stay off it).
it does idle kinda roughly at 1500rpm and its powerband starts at about 5k.
