bridge port for a daily driver?

Felix ..anyone can set thier tact to 10k and turn the car off...noticed why the light is not on....

I just got a magazine from as local race shop saturday...its called Drag Sport....and it has rotarys in it with Racing Beat cars in side...this is going by racing beats testing...

BRIDGEPORT (260) 8-10K (290) (435)

PERIPHERALPORT (310) 8-10K (340) (510)

I know I have seen diffrent stats all over the net....BUT peopel uses diffrent size ports..and they didnt tell you what set up they ysed to test this...(Stock set up..or aftermarket)

The HP seems to be a little high ..and the Powerband range...btu this si from RacingBeat..

the local rx7 speedshop guru told me that if u put a muffler on a bridgeport it makes it useless......

I've read that too.But when you port you are increasing the exhaust flow so yeah a muffler will stop that flow which would make it useless unless its a straight thru muffler.

Depends on the port job itself dunnit! Buddy has a B/P 13B in his gen 1 with a weber. Makes about 240, comes on at 3500, is MUCH faster with open pipe.



I had a PP 12A in an R100 years ago. Was flat & frustrating like a 2 stroke off the pipetill 5000 then went insane! Did about 8 mpg too

What shop told you that..Im from Tampa..andknow alot of rotary shop owners and woul liekto know who said this..and where do you live?

my friend has a bridgeport 13b in his rx3. it puts down 230rwhp@9500rpm (thats where the dyno stops), it isn't loud, its gets 23mpg (if you stay off it).

it does idle kinda roughly at 1500rpm and its powerband starts at about 5k.

its a car you could drive everyday, but you probably dont want to
