well my motor I am sure is blown. was sitting at a red light and revved it and it just started missing horribly. started to go and it was running with like 40 hp and hardly going.. Turned down my stereo and it was only running on one rotor, every other stroke it was ok. Went up a big hill and it just died. Sitting in some guys parking lot. Looking for a new motor.. 12a or 13b? HELP

Call around, get 5 or 6 estimates then go with the guy in the middle

price range.

Sounds like you might have to look at rebuidling your old motor then.A carbed 13b drops in easily but still costs a bit to do.

Yea, I think I am going to rebuild my motor. I don't know if the rotors and housings are going to be rebuildable though. Over 240,000 miles on them. I might just try to find a 13b and put a 6-port manifold and holley carb on her. I know this on car has a good 12a that is at a state impound, but they are waiting for investigation on it because some guy died in it. It has a roll cage and everything in it. Maybe it has something "special" done to the motor. Because the guy was a race car driver.

Tear it down and survey the damage. Then go from there. I wouldn't put in a used motor.

i think so too, a used 20 year old motor is not the smart thing
