Ok I was doing work on my car and it was getting dark..I rejetted the carb ..set timing..set floats etc..

I took it out for a test drive to the car wash...I noticed it studdering around 5-6k so when I got to the wash I rest all my adjustments then starting hitting the 4bbls on the car..by standing on the right side of the car and pulling to the linkage on my car...

I noticed the dam Front Cover bolts to the cross member was loose...I couldnt belive it ..the ****** engine was loose with hard torques....

So I turn the car off and did some quick tightening..now its fine and I will torque them in the morning...

IF YOU HAVE AN ORIGINAL ENGINE..CHECK THE FT COVER BOLTS.

.this can lead to very bad and big problems..

mine were loose too. the other place that does this on these cars is the diff to rear axle housing bolts.

Thanks I will check them too...

I cannot belive how far out the ones on the FT cover were...**** theres only 4 bolts to hold on the engine mount cross member.
