I am thinking about putting my 90 motor in my 84. I have to change the tranny but do I have to change the drive shaft and rear as well ?

is that a TII, or NA? If its NA you need not change the tranny, even if it was a TII you could use the same tranny, just wouldnt last long with hard launching.

TII tranny is alot stronger...BUT you wont need to change trannys..and since you wont change trannys you wont need a drive shaft...

On the rear ends its a preferance...

Non LSD in the GS model with drum brakes..

LSD in the GSL with 3.90 gears...<<<with disc brakes

LSD in the GSLSE with 4.07 gear...<<<<with disc brakes

NOW you can take the GS rear end housing and drop the GSLSE differental..and have lots of fun power braking..lol....

Now since you said you had an 84 these are 84/85 rear ends im talking about..anything before that wont interchange with 84/85 rear ends..as in axles..differental..etc

Well I already have a 84 GSL rear in it. And a newer tranny with good syncros. Will the 12A tranny bolt up to the 13B? I am going to put a side draft on it so I dont have to change the ecu or wiring. I think the only other thing I need to do is get the fule injection block off, change the front housing, oil pan, and the motor mounts

Ok side draft...

RacingBeat intake and injector block off kit...

Get the 12A ft Cover and you wont have to do anything besides that and the GSLSE oil pan ..which if you contact 13b1stgen <<<He has alot of GSLSE engine parts..and I think the whole 13B from a 84/85 GSLSE

So contact him ...he said he had an oil pan something like $75. and you pay shipping..but dont quote me on his prices...

Just PM him..if hes not watching online **** somewhere..he will respond...

Using a TII transmission will require a TII clutch, starter, and flywheel.
